Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Analyze the structure and components of Indian financial institutions and evaluate the role in economic development.
  2. Evaluate the contents of Bank loans policy and process of formulating loan policy in commercial Banks to appraise the contribution of lending function of commercial banks.
  3. Apply the knowledge of management of funds by commercial banks to evaluate the profitable funding mechanism for banks.
  4. Examine the concepts of Assets and liabilities management in Bank and evaluate the various reasons of mismatch between assets and liabilities of banks.
  5. Evaluate the impact of Non- performing assets and their management for improving the efficiency of financial institutions.
  6. Analyze the operation of Non- Banking financial institutions and its regulatory framework to appraise the role in current day economy.
