Objective: 

The course will enable students to –

The students will-

CO109.   Analyze the concept of money and its circulation in the economy

CO110.  Interpret the theories of demand for money and the aggregates of money supply

CO111.   Examine the monetary transmission mechanism

CO112.    Distinguish different theories of Monetary economics

CO113.   Critically examine the monetary policy strategies and relate it to the current changes in the economy.

CO114. Evaluate the role of monetary policy in regulating inflation by applying the concepts of inflation.

Velocity and Value of Money- Concept, factors

Theories of Money- Quantity Theory of Money-Fisher’s, Cambridge Keynesian and Milton Friedman’s modern Theory.
