Starting and shutting down the computer, Understanding the desktop
environment (icons, taskbar, start menu), Navigating the file system using File
Explorer/Finder, Creating, renaming, copying, moving, and deleting files and
folders, Organizing files and folders logically, Using external storage devices
(USB drives), Basic troubleshooting (e.g., restarting applications),
Understanding different file types (e.g., .doc, .txt, .jpg, .pdf).

Word Processing Fundamentals (using software like Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer, Google Docs)

Creating new documents and saving them in different formats, Basic text
entry and editing (inserting, deleting, selecting text),
 Formatting text (font, size, color, bold, italics, underline), Paragraph
formatting (alignment, indentation, line spacing),
 Using bullet points and numbering, Inserting images and basic shapes,
Creating and formatting simple tables, Using spell check and grammar
check, Printing documents.

Spreadsheet Basics (using software like Microsoft Excel, LibreOffice Calc, Google Sheets):

 Understanding the spreadsheet interface (cells, rows, columns), Entering and
editing data (text, numbers, dates),
 Basic formula entry (SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT), Using cell references (relative
and absolute), Basic formatting of cells (number formats, alignment,
borders), Creating simple charts and graphs (bar chart, pie chart), Sorting
and filtering data, Basic printing of spreadsheets.

Presentation Basics (using software like Microsoft PowerPoint, LibreOffice Impress, Google Slides)

 Creating new presentations and saving them, Adding and deleting slides

animations, Running and navigating a slideshow, Basic design considerations
for presentations.

Internet and Digital Literacy

 Connecting to the internet (Wi-Fi, wired), Using a web browser (navigating
websites, using tabs), Understanding basic web addresses (URLs), Using
search engines effectively (keywords, search operators),
 Identifying reliable online resources, Understanding basic online safety and
security (passwords, avoiding phishing),
 Introduction to email (sending, receiving, attaching files), Understanding
basic concepts of digital citizenship and responsible online behavior.
