On completion of this course, the students will be able to

  1.  Investigate relevant areas to identify research problems and for the selection of scope of study.
  2. Develop questionnaires, research instruments and Choose a data gathering mechanism to collect original data related to research objectives.
  3.  Analyze data using descriptive and statistical methods.
  4.  Provide conclusions or recommendations for action or future investigation based on the findings in writing of qualitative and quantitative research report
  5.  Proficiency in presentation of qualitative and quantitative research report

Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments, review of literature, web links for reading materials

 

Learning activities for the students:

Field activities, Presentation, Giving tasks on review of literature and other sources

Review of Work ,Semester end examinations, Plan Proposal report, Class Presentation

Research Problem Formulation

Identification and formulation of research problem, scanning the existing environment, review of related literature, Formulation of research objectives and research hypothesis, drafting of research design and sampling design.

Data Collection

Drafting of Questionnaire using appropriate scaling technique and collection of data through google forms, questiapro, etc.

Data analysis

Tabulation and execution of data using SPSS and MS-Excel, Analysis and interpretation of data, Testing of Hypothesis.

Report writing

Preliminary pages including title pages, declarations, certificates, executive summary, contents, list of tables, list of figures, abbreviations, etc.) main text (Introduction, main chapters, core chapters, conclusion and references, etc.), and final matter (Appendix and annexure like questionnaires, figures/photos).
