On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Examine the concept, role and principles of management
  2. Assess various managerial functions including planning, organization and organization structure.
  3. Recognize the principles of authority, leadership and decision making and solve organizational problems and develop optimal managerial decisions.
  4. Examine the concept of Entrepreneurship and its relevance in the present day time
  5. Analyse effective application of new venture creation and diagnose business environment for creative problem solving.

Starting the New Venture - Generating Business Idea, Sources of New Idea, Methods of generating Ideas, creative problem solving, opportunity recognition, environment scanning, and competitor and Industry analysis. The Four stages of Growth model- pre start-up-stage, Start-up Stage, Early Growth Stage, Later Growth Stage.
