• Rural Indebtness- Causes, consequences, measures for eradication of rural Indebtness, Sources of rural credit, NABARD and Rural Development, Present scenario of rural credit in India.
• Microfinance: Meaning, Benefits and Limitations, Self Help Groups, Bank’s assistance to Microfinance Institutions.
• Programme related to Women, child & tribal Welfare : Women & child development programme, related to tribal welfare Nature & forest conservation programme, special area development programme
• Overview of Special Programme:MGNREGS, PMGSY, PMJDY, Deendayal Antayodaya Yojana (DAY- NRLM). , PMFBY, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Gramin and National Social Assistance Programme, Provision of Rural Amenities in Rural Area (PURA)
• Role of NGO in Rural development: Need of poverty alleviation, scope of NGO, Role of NGO in rural development, Weakness of NGO movement.
• Democratic Decentralization and Panchayati Raj: meaning and merits of democratic decentralization, characteristics of Panchayati Raj, need, significance, problems and suggestions of panchayati raj.Rural Development Administration at village, Block and District Level: Functions and Powers of Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishads.
