Summary/Description (max 500 words):The School of Commerce at the University organized a fun filled orientation session on August 21, 2023, to welcome newly admitted students for the session 2023-24 The session was planned with an aim to acquaint new students about the different arenas of the various departments i.e. about the various courses and curriculum offered by the school. The session also showcased a lively atmosphere that fosters camaraderie and excitement among the students.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Aditi Jain. She delivered an insightful presentation, shedding light on the School of Commerce, its extensive range of courses, well-structured curriculum, rigorous evaluation methods, esteemed faculty members, user-friendly university website, and upcoming departmental initiatives for the year ahead, including quizzes, industrial visits, exhibitions, and workshops.Furthermore, Dr. Jain discussed the credit system, offering a comprehensive understanding of its functioning. She underscored the department's exceptional track record of student placements globally, emphasizing the impressive achievements of their alumni. Concluding her presentation, she provided valuable insights into the university's expansive library resources and imparted essential guidelines for utilizing the library effectively, including the dos and don'ts to ensure a conducive learning environment. Following the incredibly informative presentation, our esteemed seniors took the stage for an unforgettable and extravagant ice-breaking session. The session featured a delightful array of performances, including stand-up comedy acts, captivating short videos, energetic dance routines, and engaging fun quizzes. Notably, students who actively participated in the quizzes and provided correct answers were rewarded with prizes, adding an element of excitement to the session.Collectively, this ice-breaking session was a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on all. The energy, creativity, and diversity of the performances were thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by everyone present. Subsequent to this segment, all the freshers students were invited to introduce themselves, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie. Adding a touch of creativity to the proceedings, those who adorned attire in alignment with the theme "Commerce Dreams" enthusiastically partook in a competition, earning themselves well-deserved prizes. Noteworthy was the song presentation of our esteemed teacher, Prof. Ruchi Jain, who graced the occasion with a mesmerizing song, elevating the ambiance and creating a truly uplifting experience.
As the culmination of this remarkable orientation, the Dean, School of Commerce and Management, Professor M.K Sharma, engaged in an interactive session with the students and shared invaluable insights into the courses and its prospects, providing students with a deeper understanding of the journey they are embarking upon. This exchange of wisdom and guidance left an indelible impression on all those in attendance.
All the student present there loved and enjoyed the fun filled informative orientation given by the department of commerce.

Outcome of the activity: The students were acquainted well with the faculty, curriculum, credit system, examination pattern etc. which made them more aware about the systems and operations at the University.
