The Department of Financial Studies, in collaboration with Alumnae Association, IIS (deemed to be) University, Jaipur (Rajasthan) organized a seminar titled, “Financial Independence and Career Guidance for Women” with an Alumna Ms. Vartika Bansal (Société Générale, France). The purpose of the seminar was to provide Guidance related to career opportunities in the field of Finance and answer all the queries related to the same. The session also aimed at making the participants aware of the importance of being Financially Independent, especially for women in India.

Firstly, she explained a bit about why financial independence is important for women and how proper finances can be your Best Friend. While interacting with participants she asked them about the jobs they are aware of and also about their thoughts on financial independence. Then she talked about her experience with organizations she has worked with like Deutsche Bank and Ernst and Young. She also stressed the fact that Financial Career Guidance is about having control over your financial future. Further, she gave career guidance by discussing the various jobs in finance like bank Office Jobs, Government jobs, NBFI, Financial Crime, chartered accountant, Fintech, Crypto, Financial Analyst, Insurance, Project Management, and many more. Explain how to achieve your goals not only in the financial sector by the simple steps that should to be followed.

In the end, the question-answer round was held to clear the doubts of the participants.

The session was interactive, and informative, and helped the participants to understand the importance of Financial Independence for Women.
